“ILLEGAL ONLINE GAMES OF CHANCE – RECOGNISE, AVOID, REPORT”
The Games of Chance Administration of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Serbia and the Association of Games of Chance Organisers – SPIS have produced an informative and educational brochure dedicated to the problem of unauthorised organising of online games of chance. The document was created as a result of joint engagement, with the aim of raising public awareness about the risks associated with illegal online games of chance.
The brochure provides a comprehensive overview of key topics: from explaining what illegal games of chance are and how they can be distinguished from legitimate offers, to specific instructions for identifying warning signs and marketing traps that unauthorised organisers use. Special attention is paid to the protection of minors, whose participation in games of chance is expressly prohibited by the applicable regulations of the Republic of Serbia.
The document also contains a practical checklist that everyone can use before using any online games of chance platform, as well as a clear guide on how to report suspicious offers to the Games of Chance Administration. For any questions regarding gambling addiction, the brochure references relevant professional support contacts.
Citizens are recommended, before using any online offer (via the Internet), to check whether the organiser is included in the official List of Organisers available on the website of the Games of Chance Administration.
The brochure (Guidelines) and checklist can be found in a separate Responsible Gambling section.
